Finding Your Hidden Treasure

The Naked Songwriter Podcast #44

The Chandra symbol for the degree of today’s total solar eclipse is “Monstrosities in glass jars in a sideshow.” But the higher vibration of this eclipse is “A hidden treasure waits to be found“.

This eclipse – which has come with a lot of pain and angst for many of us – is actually trying to help us connect the dots between the hideous and the sublime. Follow the secret map to the treasure inside your soul with me.

I’m a cancer, doing a lot of needed work, over the past year. Last week, I sat in meditation with the motivation to remember and experience my essence and light. As I stripped away the thoughts and was coming close to what normally gives me a lot of solace, I experienced what can only be described as a brick wall. I found a place within myself that was the epitome of dark and lonely, full of shame. With my training over the past year, I was able to allow my observation of this, without full engagement. However, the experience brought me to my knees and I began exploring memories and ideologies of shame, blame, etc (southern Baptist preacher daughter upbringing) that no longer serve me. At first, I thought I wouldn’t get away from it, that it couldn’t be healed. Listening to your podcast and searching for my tribe, has brought a lot of clarity to what would have or could have been very dark for me. Thank you for your words. It means a lot to me.

      Hi Carrie,
Thank you so much for sharing that. I’m so glad you were able to stay with that black wall and dissolve it. As someone who also grew up in a hyper religious Baptist family, I recognize that feeling! And, I think we all have it to some extent.

I’m glad sharing my experience has been helpful!

Such timing to listen to this. Overpowering bosses have been a theme the last few years. The first one was more nice about it, but he definitely pushed me to the side. Or rather I let him. The second one, is a belligerent. Apparently, the universe saying “look we gave you the nice guy and it didn’t get your attention, so we turned up the volume!” I hear it, but WOW it is hard to unpack. I still feel very much frozen from childhood and early adulthood events, but I am doing the inner child work and so much more! Thank you for this podcast as it was another reminder to take up my own space and continue the work or the bully bosses, people will keep coming.
