Saturn Square Uranus, New Eclipse Series, and More 2021 Astrology

Celebrity psychic Laura Powers invited me back to her podcast to share my thoughts on the astrological potentials of 2021. With Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus locked in a tense square pattern for most of the year, we talked about how small personal choices add up to huge global shifts. And about the absolute necessity of staying grounded and centered in our own connection with Creator this year.

In 2020 we learned just how much power Big Tech oligarchs now wield over our data, our thoughts, and the public discourse. As censorship and thought-policing continues to intensify in 2021 in online spaces like Google, Facebook, and Twitter, people will begin disengaging from these legacy platforms and joining new networks based on maintaining freedom of speech and guaranteeing people’s rights to their personal data.

With Jupiter joining Saturn in Aquarius for half the year, we can expect even more peer pressure to “do the right thing” for the collective and make personal sacrifices “for the good of others.” Saturn, symbolizing authority, structure and integrity, reminds us that we will sooner or later get to experience the consequences of our actions. Choosing what is popular and convenient over what is is actually true does have repercussions.

Uranus the Awakener in Taurus is going to shake things up, one way or another. Uranus always wants to set us free by blasting out whatever is old and in the way. It can help us harness technology to make the world a better place for all this year but it can also bring swift, sudden shocks that jar us out of brainwashed complacency.

It looks like a year of ups and downs, with plenty of shocking or surprising plot twists, but ultimately it’s a year where we can make great strides towards creating the beautiful world we all want to live in. As long as we stay centered in truth and refuse to give our power away to those who would use it against us.

Have fun learning more about astrology than you thought possible. In Be Your Own Astrologer, we’re going to focus on teaching you a practical, systematic, method of chart interpretation you can use to deepen your understanding of your own natal horoscope. And then apply to any other birth chart.

This class is for “beginning intermediate” students of astrology who know some – or many – of the basic concepts of chart interpretation but want to develop confidence and mastery in putting it all together.

I’ve trained dozens of astrologers and healers who use astrology in their work with clients and in this 12-week course I’ll help you hone your astrology skills, deepen your understanding of how astrology works, and teach you to filter out the noise and tune in what’s essential.

You do need to have some core astrology concepts under your belt, because we’re going to cover a lot of ground in this course. Ideally, you already have an idea of what the signs, the houses and the planets symbolize. You know that astrology uses aspects like conjunctions, squares, trines and oppositions to indicate how different planets in the chart relate to one another.

Class Details

  • Classes start on January 13, 2021 and continue for 12 weeks.
  • Classes will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 3 pm Eastern / noon Pacific on Zoom video.
  • Classes will be one hour in length and are divided into two segments: lesson and discussion.

The Microsoft founder and current de facto world health czar Bill Gates’ birth chart hosts a volatile cocktail of four alien patterns: Uranian Instrument, Neptune Power, Mutual Reception Pluto Power, and Earth Adept.

What are the alien patterns?

Alien patterns in the natal horoscope are special energy configurations involving a conjunction of the Sun, Moon or Ascendant with one of the transpersonal outer planets.* These patterns give the native special abilities, such as an innate understanding of the true nature of time, the ability to see dead people, psychokinesis, or the ability to awaken the kundalini power in other people.

Choosing to carry one or more alien patterns is intended by the soul as a gift to the world. But the alien patterns are often experienced as a curse by those who carry them – until they are able to bring these energies into their conscious awareness.

In fact, natives with alien patterns in the natal horoscope almost always reach adulthood suffering from a profound sense of alienation (hence the name).

I had been anxiously awaiting DK’s Alien Patterns class for a good chunk of time. The outer planet energies carried by the alien pattern native operate with the intent to transform whatever they encounter. So as soon as an alien pattern person connects with another human, they initiate an evolutionary/transformational feedback loop with the other person.

Alien Pattern People (And Those Who Love Them)

If you possess one or more alien patterns in your birth chart this information can radically transform your understanding of yourself and your life experience and purpose. The same is true if your partner, children or other key people in your life carry alien patterns in their charts. (Aliens tend to attract aliens.)

Class Content

Overview (Weeks 1 & 2)

In the first two classes (four hours total) you will learn:

  • The alien pattern framework: the stages of development all alien pattern people go through from birth through adulthood.
  • How to identify alien patterns in a horoscope.
  • The basic gift/teachings of the four outer planets forming the alien patterns: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
  • The Adept patterns and how they work / how to work them.
  • How the alien patterns act when we are consciously aligning with their power.
  • How they affect us and those around us when we are unconscious of them.
  • How to bring an alien pattern into conscious awareness.
  • The two transformational keys for taking an alien pattern from curse to gift.

Going Deep with the Alien Patterns (Weeks 3-6)

These four classes (eight hours total) are organized by outer planet archetype.

Week 3: Saturn – The Teacher/Transformer – The Saturn aliens are natural authority figures. They understand the true structure of reality and the non-linear nature of time. They push those around them to develop inner authority and take responsibility for their lives.

Week 4: Uranus – The Illuminator – The Uranian aliens are the radical truth-tellers. They illuminate falsehood in those around them and challenge others to own their truths and live from the Authentic Self.

Week 5: Neptune – The Divine Mirror – The Neptune aliens inspire others to see or feel what it would be like to be their ideal selves. They light up the space around them with Christ-like compassion but are often chronically drained by psychic vampires.

Week 6: Pluto – The Shaman – The Plutonian aliens activate people’s deepest fear and unconscious shame patterns, allowing others to experience a rebirth into their most powerful self.

Reach for the stars - alien patterns in astrology

In these four classes, you will learn about:

  • Common traits of the Power, Vessel and Instrument patterns for each outer planet archetype.
  • Differences in how the Power, Vessel and Instrument patterns tend to manifest with each of the outer planet types.

We will use the natal charts of celebrity alien pattern people to illustrate how the different patterns function at various evolutionary levels. And you’ll have the opportunity to explore the alien pattern(s) in your own chart!

* There are a few alien patterns that don’t involve the outer planets, such as the Adept alien patterns. These occur when one of the elements or modes contains no planets or the Ascendant. We will cover these patterns + Shadow alien patterns and mutual reception alien patterns as well.

March: Jupiter-Pluto in Capricorn – Global Lockdown

On March 14, I predicted the possibility of martial law being enacted in the U.S. that week, as Mars was about to make conjunctions with both Jupiter and Pluto on March 20 and March 22. (The first of three Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions in 2020 would be exact on April 4).

Reality Beyond the Matrix?

It’s hard to see much of a break in the intensity for the rest of the year. Mars will be retrograde in Aries in September and October, Mercury is retrograde in October, stationing direct on election day in the U.S. (shades of the 2000 election?) and then we have two more eclipses before the once-in-20-years Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius.

The parasitic forces of control, greed, violence and force that have oppressed humanity for thousands of years are doubling down in 2020. They know this could be the end of the line and they are engaging (via their human hosts in the mainstream media, deep state, politics, and corporate-financial systems) in all-out psychological warfare on the people.

That sucks. And, this our chance to make a prison break and restore this beautiful planet to her true Reality of love, art, beauty and fairness for all.

How to Find Alien Patterns In Your Natal Chart

What are the alien patterns in astrology?

Alien patterns are specialized energy configurations in the natal horoscope.  The most common alien patterns include a conjunction of the Sun, Moon, or Ascendant with one of the four outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto).

What are the alien patterns? | How do I know if I have an alien pattern in my chart?

I’ve been working with the alien patterns framework with clients for about 15 years. My experience shows that while these people are unusually gifted, they also tend to be unusually troubled.

The alien patterns were discovered by astrologer Edwin Steinbrecher, who wrote about them in his book The Inner Guide Meditation. Steinbrecher named these chart configurations alien patterns because people with one or more of these patterns in their natal chart shared a similar sense of alienation, of other-ness. Even in childhood, they felt apart from others. They were conscious of being treated differently, of not belonging, of not being able to fit in. From a young age they saw the world from a remarkably different viewpoint than most of the people around them.

I’ve had several alien pattern clients tell me they knew they must have been adopted: “I kept badgering my parents to tell me how to find my real family.”

These energies are not easy to carry through life because their function is disruptive and transformative and because they are always active on some level. These archetypes are so powerful that one can only suppress them for so long. Also, they are distinctly transpersonal or non-human. The alien pattern archetypes carry the intention of destroying old, corrupt emotional patterns, thought forms and behaviors – and they don’t care whether the person who is being triggered by them likes it or not.

Alien pattern people tend to find relationships uniquely challenging, especially relationships with family and intimate partners. Because they are – usually unconsciously – always triggering the people closest to them to evolve and transform, they evoke strong reactions from others.

These reactions range from intense neediness to verbal, psychological and emotional abuse, and sometimes outright physical violence. I tell my alien pattern clients that many of the people they will attract in this lifetime are drawn to them because the other person’s soul wants the alien pattern medicine the client carries. But if the other person is locked in an egoic mind state of fear, shame, separation or control, their ego will fight desperately to stay in charge.

I’m going to be sharing 15 years’ experience working with alien pattern clients in my new Alien Patterns in Astrology class, beginning September 10, 2020.

Types of Alien Patterns

Power alien patterns
People with natal Sun conjunct Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto. These people function as initiators or shamans of the planetary archetype they carry. They radiate the archetypal energy of the planet in an active, outer-directed, traditionally masculine way.

Vessel alien patterns
People with natal Moon conjunct Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto. These people carry the archetypal energy of the outer planet in a more traditionally feminine way. They magnetize or pull up the energy of the planetary archetype in everyone they connect with.

Instrument alien patterns
People with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto in the 1st House or conjunct the Ascendant from the 12th House. These people function as amplifiers and receivers of the planetary energy and, according to Steinbrecher, “Their abilities are intrinsic to their physical bodies.”

Adept alien patterns
These people have none of the traditional modern planets, nor the ASC, in one of the four elements or in one of the three modes. These people intrinsically understand the element or mode they lack and are adept at helping others in that area. However, they tend to struggle with this same energy themselves until they learn to share their gift with others.

Fire adepts, for example, have no planets (nor the ASC) in any of the three fire signs. They excel at helping others find their passion, discover the courage to start a new career, or step into a leadership role. They are often mystified as to how they can do this so easily for others and not for themselves.

Mutual reception alien patterns
This is fairly rare, but in the interests of accuracy this pattern occurs when there is mutual reception between the Sun, Moon or ASC/1st House and one of the outer planets.

How to Find Alien Patterns in the Natal Chart

I’m using Steinbrecher’s orbs (degrees from exact conjunction) as I’ve found them to be pretty reliable.

Power alien patterns

You have a power alien pattern when your natal Sun is conjunct natal Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto with an orb of ≤ 15°.

Donald Trump: Has a Uranian Power pattern. Uranus is conjunct the Sun with an orb of 5°.

Vessel alien patterns

You have a vessel alien pattern when your natal Moon is conjunct Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto with an orb of ≤ 12°.

Drew Barrymore has a Saturnian Vessel pattern. The Moon is conjunct Saturn with an orb of < 6°

Instrument alien patterns

You have an instrument alien pattern when Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto is in the 1st House or conjunct the Ascendant in the 12th House with an orb of ≤ 10°.

Kurt Cobain: Has two instrument patterns, Uranian and Plutonian. Uranus is in the 1st House. Pluto is conjunct the ASC from the 12th House with an orb of < 1°.

Jack Nicholson: Has a Pluto instrument pattern. Even though Pluto is in Cancer and Jack’s ASC is in Leo, Pluto is conjunct the ASC with an orb of 9°.

Whitney Houston: Does not have a Saturn alien pattern, since the orb from Saturn to the ASC is greater than 10°.

Mutual Reception alien patterns

You have a mutual reception alien pattern when the Sun, Moon, or ASC are in mutual reception with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. See David Bowie’s chart below.

*I normally work with the traditional sign rulers as the primary rulers and incorporate the modern sign rulers when helpful. In this context, however, I follow Steinbrecher in working with Uranus as the ruler of Aquarius, Neptune as the ruler of Pisces, and Pluto as the ruler of Scorpio.

David Bowie: Has a Saturnian Vessel pattern and likely a Plutonian Vessel pattern (his birth time is uncertain). He also has a mutual reception Saturn Power pattern. The Sun is in Capricorn (Saturn’s sign) while Saturn is in Leo (the Sun’s sign).

Reclaiming Our Power to Remake the World

The first eclipse of 2020 happens Friday, January 10 at 2:21 pm EST.

It’s a lunar eclipse with the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Capricorn. This is an incredible stellium (several planets conjunct) in the sign of world systems. The Sun, Mercury, Ceres, Saturn, and Pluto plus centaur planet Chariklo are all conjunct within 4 1/4 degrees while Jupiter is tightly conjunct the karmic South Node.
 
The fact that it happens two days before the exact Saturn-Pluto conjunction adds to the power of this eclipse. Saturn and Pluto are conjunct every 34 years but this is the first time they’ve been conjunct in Capricorn (Saturn’s sign and the sign of world systems) since 1518. Here are some things that jump out at me about this eclipse. 
 

Goddess Power!

That’s a huge old stellium – a conjunction involving three or more planets – in Capricorn in the eclipse chart. What does that mean? Basically that almost all the planetary power is focused along the eclipse line of 20 Cancer – 20 Capricorn. Looks like a pretty black and white, cut and dried picture. Until you notice that the Sun, Mercury, Ceres, Saturn, Pluto and Chariklo and the eclipsed Moon are all square Eris, the archetype of the revolutionary feminine, at 23 Aries. This T-square funnels a huge amount of energy to Eris. (Saturn and Pluto square Eris by < 1 degree.)
 
Eris, the Goddess of Discord, introduces chaos into patriarchal, linear, status quo systems, agitating for a more egalitarian setup. It’s hard to overstate the power of the eclipse-Saturn-Pluto alignment, even without Eris in the picture. I feel like Eris’ presence as focal point for this alignment has radically amped up the destructive energy we’d expect to see.

In the build-up to the eclipse, we’ve seen the Trump and Tehran flirt with starting World War III, the mind-boggling wildfires in Australia, the start of the Harvey Weinstein trial in Los Angeles (remember #MeToo ?) and devastating earthquakes in Puerto Rico, a country that still hasn’t recovered from Hurricane Maria.
 
There’s a very pronounced emphasis on society’s treatment of women, children and the ecology in this picture, with Ceres conjunct Saturn and Pluto by < 1 degree. Ceres was active in the eclipse charts for 2017, when the news of the many women allegedly molested by Harvey Weinstein launched the #MeToo movement. As well as being the mother of Persephone, Ceres/Demeter is the goddess of the harvest. You may remember that in some versions of the myth, she cursed the natural world and stopped the plants from bearing fruit as a way of getting Jupiter’s attention and getting her kidnapped daughter back from Pluto.
 
There are a lot of interesting connections from this eclipse and the Saturn-Pluto conjunction to the USA’s chart, which I will tackle in more depth in a future video. I saw several news articles pop up on Apple News mentioning that several awards recipients and/or presenters at the Golden Globes had used their screen time to advocate for women’s rights and the environment. This makes a lot of sense in light of Ceres’ placement in the eclipse chart. And that whole Capricorn stellium is opposite the USA’s Mercury (what we think and communicate about as a society).
